MOTHERS UNION has a few money-raisers during the year which resulted in us sending £600 after our AGM to the Exeter Office which has a board of Trustees to distribute the funds across the Diocese and abroad. We usually nominate local needs.
Early this year we sponsored a request to Exeter MU from Steve Hitchcock of St. Peter’s Primary School for a Computer programme which would transform the learning of SEND children. I am delighted to tell everyone that the MU Exeter Diocese Trustees have granted this full request of £300. Sue Low For our summer concerts this year we decided to select our favourite songs from our 40 years of music making - so we had a vote. The result is a fantastic mix of show tunes, pop songs and classical favourites. Featuring Simon and Garfunkel, My Fair Lady, South Pacific, West Side Story, Sting, John Rutter and many more.
We will be raising money for Devon Air Ambulance. We would love you to come and join us in this celebration of summer music. Tickets only £10 to include refreshments Wednesday 21st May, 7pm at St Peter’s Church, Budleigh Salterton Saturday 7th June, 7pm Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth. |
