Budleigh Salterton Ladies’ Christmas Concert on the 4th December is the perfect way to start your Christmas. For only £10 - which includes seasonal interval refreshments - relax and enjoy some of your favourite Christmas tunes and carols before the seasonal madness takes hold. This will be our 40th Christmas Concert and we look forward to entertaining you with traditional and modern Christmas songs. Our guest artists this year are the fantastic Isca String Quartet. We even have a Christmas themed raffle so you can stock up with Christmas goodies.
This year we are raising money for Hospiscare so don’t forget some extra pennies for their bucket collection. Tickets are available on the door (cash, card or contactless) so get some friends together and join with us in celebrating Christmas 2024. Wednesday 4th December, 7pm at St Peter’s Church, Budleigh Salterton. To mark Budleigh Salterton's Ladies Choir's 40th year, we return to the music of the 70's and 80's - Abba, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Elton John, as well as songs from the popular shows back then - Les Miserables, Barnum and Evita.
As a tribute to Pam Jones who founded the choir back in 1984, we will be raising money for Hospiscare, which was her chosen charity. Come along to our concert on Wednesday 22nd May, 7pm, St Peter's Church, Budleigh or on Saturday 8th June, 7pm, Holy Trinity, Exmouth. Guest artists - Flute Suite. Tickets £8 - cash on the door. For five Sundays from 28 April we will be presenting a new series of musical events at St Peter’s. The myriad sounds of our wonderful organ will be heard across three organ recitals from Stephen Tanner, David Davies and for the first event, Jean-René André the organist of Rennes Cathedral in Brittany, France who we are delighted to welcome back for a return visit to Budleigh. Our own choir will present their monthly offering of Choral Evensong and will close the series with a choral concert of "Sacred Music for the Seasons". All events will be at 6.00pm. Free admission with a retiring collection.
