Support and develop a local worshipping community within the three parishes through a range of services. In doing this we will:

Encourage the spiritual health and life balance of all who contribute to the life of the church:

Our Vision:
- To work together to support our Clergy in Mission and Ministry to create one cohesive Christian presence in our communities.
- To strengthen our faith through worship, proclamation and prayer, extending a welcome to all in Christ's name.
- To ensure that our Churches are vibrant, caring and welcoming communities where all, especially those who are new to the faith, are valued and encouraged.
Our Mission:
i) Prayer & Worship
Support and develop a local worshipping community within the three parishes through a range of services. In doing this we will:
- Encourage and facilitate prayer throughout the week, ensuring all activities are underpinned by prayer.
- Maintain at least one service in each community on a Sunday and in the form of worship we offer, cater for all needs.
- Ensure our services are warm and welcoming.
- Provide opportunities for worship for all ages, (e.g. monthly youth service).
- Support and develop a local worshipping community within all parishes through a range of services.
- Initiate regular mission community services.
ii) People, Involvement and Unity
Encourage the spiritual health and life balance of all who contribute to the life of the church:
- Not only welcome people but draw them into the fellowship of our churches.
- Encourage all to recognise and to use their gifts to build the Kingdom of God in our parishes.
- Meet the needs of different age groups in the community and demonstrate the relevance of faith to everyday life.
- Encourage growth in faith and fellowship by welcoming members of the community into the life of the church.
- Continue to foster the work of the Ecumenical Churches’ Partnership.
Outreach:
We will maintain and develop our involvement with the community at large and Spread the Gospel by:
- Sensitively supporting the Clergy in carrying out Occasional Offices.
- Developing and maintaining Pastoral Care.
- Increasing opportunities to make faith relevant to specific age groups.
- Building on the school links in all three Parishes.
- Ensuring a Christian presence at a range of social/community events.
- Providing opportunities for worship to residential homes and continue to develop the hospital chaplaincy service.
- Drawing newcomers to the faith.
Buildings:
- Ensure church building complexes are used for the benefit of community groups throughout the week.
- Form partnership with different agencies to use the buildings for the benefit of the community.
- Continued development of the buildings to meet the needs of our congregations in the 21st Century.
