About the Raleigh Mission Community
The Raleigh Mission Community started to evolve in 2009 and was celebrated in 2010 by the Bishop of Crediton. It is made up of three churches in three parishes and comprises of All Saints’, East Budleigh, St Michael & All Angels, Otterton, and St Peter’s, Budleigh Salterton.
Set in glorious and unspoilt East Devon, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the parishes in the Raleigh Mission Community extend from the Jurassic Coast along both banks of the River Otter to the southern edge of Woodbury Common and its pebblebed heathlands. Our church buildings bear witness to an unbroken tradition of Christian witness and care for the local communities and their people from pre-Saxon times.
