Baptisms in the Raleigh Mission Community
Baptism (Christening) is offered to anyone living within the parishes of the Raleigh Mission Community and who is looking for themselves or their child to be part of the Christian church.
If you want to know more please contact the Parish Office. We are happy to baptise people of any age, although when adults wish to be baptised, we encourage them to be confirmed either at the same time, or soon after.
We do encourage our baptised children to come along to our monthly family services. St Peter’s baptisms ideally take place during our 10.00am Family Service on the second Sunday of each month, but are available at other times to suit and Otterton and East Budleigh baptisms can be arranged to suit the individual family's needs.
There is no charge for a baptism.
We also offer a Service of thanksgiving and blessing after the birth of a child where parents are currently not ready to make the commitment of Baptism. Again, please contact the Rev'd Martin Jacques (see Contacts) for further information.
