Square Circle Knitting Group
The Square Circle Knitting Group meets every Wednesday afternoon from 2.30pm-4pm in the East Budleigh Church Hall. We enjoy a sociable afternoon with tea and biscuits as well as knitting! We knit squares for blankets to be sent to Moldova and Ukraine via the local charity, CR2EE (Christian Response to Eastern Europe) which distributes the items we make through a network of churches in those countries. Some of our group prefer to knit jumpers, hats, scarves, mittens and socks – anything they choose. Some prefer to crochet rather than knit. Others enjoy knitting at home and send in their items when finished. We welcome everyone’s contributions.
We take our finished items regularly to the Exmouth warehouse for transportation to Moldova and Ukraine and display some of our knitted items in the church during the Scarecrow Festival.
We also welcome donations of wool – please bring them to the church hall or leave them in the village shop for collection.
New members for the group are always welcome to join us.
