Regular Activites
Meditation
6.15pm - 7pm in All Saints Church, East Budleigh, every Thursday
If you would like to try meditation in a group environment, please join us on Thursday evenings at All Saints Church, East Budleigh. Come along around 6.15pm so you can find a place to sit where you are comfortable (most people tend to sit in the choir stalls, but anywhere in the church is fine). You don't have to speak to anyone if you don't choose to. There will be a short, mindfulness-based reading at 6.30pm, and then we sit in silence until the church bell rings at 7pm. We all need time for ourselves, so why not take this opportunity to have half an hour of quiet time? For more details contact Paul Kurowski on 01395 742942 or email:

Solo's Lunch
The Peter Hall, behind St Peter's Church
Every 4th Sunday of the month (except December)
From 12noon
We usually get between 30 and 35 people but there is always space for more. We are served a delicious roast lunch prepared by Mandy Butcher and her team, followed by a homemade desert and coffee. We are indebted to Di Bagshawe who runs a popular raffle and also comes in early to help me set up. A faithful group of volunteers sell and check tickets, serve and clear lunch. The lunch costs £6.00 and is served at 12.15pm.
Contact [email protected] or Tel 01395 442927 for more information.
Tickets from Christine Channon or in the RMC Office in St Peter's Church.

Mothers’ Union including Women’s Christian Fellowship
We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm in the Peter Hall behind St Peter's Church in Budleigh Salterton.
We have a varied programme, and usually there is a speaker. Members are engaged in various projects both in the Church and the Community. Twice a year we have a fundraising stall at Rendezvous raising money for M. U. projects overseas and 'Away From It All' (A.F.I.A.) which provides holidays for needy families. Last year in Devon 26 families were given a holiday at Haven Holidays - a company who gives us a generous discount. At Christmas as well as providing 'shoe boxes' for children in Moldova we also include 'family boxes' so that some parents also receive a little gift.
The MU group is open to everyone - men and woman, not just mothers. for more info on Mothers Union visit www.mothersunion.org/central-membership

Loaves and Fishes Lunches: Open to everyone
Peter hall, behind St Peter's Church, Budleigh Salterton
2nd Wednesday of every month
2 course lunch served from 12.30pm, sherry or juice served from noon.
Please book in advance with Mary Jones on 01395 443333
With the help of a monthly draw we are able to send our surplus income to charity. This is achieved by the help of all those who give up their time to cook, lay tables, greet, serve and give lifts. If anyone feels they would like to help with any of these tasks they would be most welcome.
