Bible Study for October is on 25th October, 3pm, in St Peter's Church. All are welcome
Sunday 8th October saw a packed St Peter's as the Raleigh Mission Community gathered for Rev'd Anne's final service before her move to Cornwall. This wonderful Harvest Festival service included a thought provoking sermon from Rev'd Anne (see here to download) and an emotional blessing. It was followed by a delicious lunch in the Public Hall for around 120 people, cooked and served by members of the congregations of the 3 churches. See here for photos of the occasion.
A message from Rev'd Anne:
To all the RMC and to my friends in the community
Thank you so much for giving me such a lovely send off today, to those who decorated St Peter's so beautifully, to those involved in the lavish meal and to those who contributed to my leaving gift, as well as to those who have given me individual gifts. An especial thank you to Clifton for his blessing today, the words were beautiful, and to the choir for the wonderful silver scallop shell for future baptisms. I will be using my leaving gift, a cheque, from you to pay for my annual retreats over the next few years so that I may hopefully grow in wisdom. Many, many thanks
I leave you all with my prayers and blessings for a golden future.
