As the summer holidays are approaching we are busy planning a number of exciting events, activities and services.
21st July – 3rd August 2013: Prayer Trail at St Peter’s Church
The trail is passed around the theme “Exploring Prayer – Exploring Psalms” and is directed at people of all ages.
The book of psalms is the Bible's prayer book. Over many many years it has been used by Jews and Christians alike for personal pryaer and public worship. These 150 prayer poems are expressions of faith in God. They cover a whole range of emotions from praise and thanksgiving to lament, rage and despair. Prayed and sung over the centuries, the book of Psalms is both an anthology of prayers as well as a school of prayer. Our prayer trail aims to both explore some of the psalms and to introduce them as way into prayer. The trail is made up of 12 multi-sensory and inter-active stations, which lead you around our beautiful Church and yard.
Along side the trail we will be running a number of events ranging from family and children’s activity afternoons to lectures.
